Goal Scoring
Goal-Scoring
The Goal-Scoring session begins with one and two touch striking where the initial focus is on their technique both with their 1st touch control and then their shot. Over the course of the sessions, the focus will shift to making players execute the same skills more and more quickly. This progression allows players to understand the needed skill, practice the skill, then perform the skill under more game-like conditions. The session will simulate game situations and allow players to take numerous repetitions of the needed skill for that game-like situation. This way, when they get in their real games and are under a similar condition, they will have the confidence and skill to finish the ball.
Receiving Air Balls
This session helps players feel more confident receiving all types of air balls – a skill area that many players are lacking in. No matter what level your player is at, their first touch control out of the air always needs improvement. Most of the session will focus on inside of the foot control and will also involve some receiving with their body (ex: chest or thigh control). The ball machines give consistent serves that allow players to know what to expect, and therefore not shy away from the ball. The consistent serves give them a comfort level they can’t get in regular practices and games – as a result, this session can rapidly build their skill and confidence with air balls.
Shoot to Score – Video Analysis
The Shoot to Score Session is a one hour session where players receive video analysis of their striking technique and then get one hundred shots to improve on what they learned. Players get the opportunity to see themselves strike a ball on video camera in slow-motion, with the personal feedback of a professional trainer. Then they get to immediately work off the ball machines, hitting a hundred shots with the personal trainer guiding their technique. This session is extremely valuable for players in all positions. All EliteFeet Members are required to attend at least one Shoot to Score Session.
